Fabulous lodge. Quaint. Perfectly situated, close to the lifts and the Village. Wonderful staff, extraordinarily helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet is a perfect start to a great day of skiing. Stay here and you will not be disappointed!
Clean, grand and welcoming. Yet the other guest not so much. Older, stuffy patrons. Not the hotels fault they did everything they do to make our visit comfortable. Also the locations is great just a short walk to the village and the ski resort and many great restaurants and bars. They also had outside hot tubs and coffee, tea and cookies in the afternoon that where delicious.
We checked out the TripAdvisor reviews and opted for the Tivoli. We were not disappointed. We stayed for 2 nights and everything from our room, the location, the exceptional service and breakfast was just perfect. The shuttle (free) stops right outside the hotel. Since the location is central, everything in town was just a short walk.
Our family of four has stayed in many hotels and condos in Vail over the years and nothing compares to the friendliness and service at the Tivoli Lodge. The owner goes out of his way to make everyone feel special…the rooms are really nice and the breakfast is an absolute 10. Walking distance to the village for skiing and great fireplace for after dinner drinks. We’ve stayed at the Tivoli at least five times. LOVE it!!
Room Tip: Any room with a view is amazing.
My wife and I have stayed there during ski season for over 20 years. Some of which were in the old Tivoli Lodge. The new one is fantastic. We won’t stay anywhere else except when we have two grand kids and their parents,. And that is because the Tivoli really doesn’t have the facility to cater to families staying together and cooking meals as in a condo with multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen facilities, etc. The breakfast they prepare is excellent. Omelettes, smoked Salmon, cereal, pastries, oatmeal, fruit, you get the idea, lots of good eating. In 2017 Ski season it was $22.50 per person. The Tivoli has a nice bar area. However, they do not serve lunch or dinner. That really isn’t a problem as there are multiple restaurants in Vail Village and Lions Head which are all within walking distance, time to get to any of the restaurants in Vail Village from the Tivoli, 5 to 10 minutes. Or you can take the continuously running shuttle bus which has a drop off point across the street from the Tivoli and a pickup point a short block north of the drop off point.
I might add that the rooms are extremely quiet. This lodge is made of thick cement walls, you will not hear the people staying next door.
Room Tip: The 206,306,406 rooms can have a bit of noise if there are hot tub partiers. But it doesn’t last long (usually).
We stayed at the Tivoli Lodge the week of January 23rd. We could not have been more pleased with the conveniences and hospitality offered to us during our stay. The main lobby offered a comfortable place to spend our free time while sitting by the warm fire and talking to other guests as well as the owner, Bob. What else would make you feel more at home than a resident chocolate labrador roaming freely too! Speedy, the lab, lives with the owner on the top floor and both are spotted often around the lodge. The location was perfect! We walked everywhere, and the trip to the Gondola One only takes about 10 minutes. They offer complimentary ski equipment storage, and serve a solid morning breakfast. There is no lunch or dinner offered though – so be prepared to eat those meals out or pick up carry-out. Our room had a beautiful view of the mountain, comfortable beds, as well as a fireplace. We would definitely choose Tivoli again in the future.
