Brown Hound Lounge & Bar in Vail, Colorado
Vail visitors are definitely barking up the wrong tree if they go anywhere
other than the Tivolis new Brown Hound Lounge for a relaxing après-ski
cocktail this season. The Tivolis stunning new lobby, cozy and
inviting with overstuffed chairs and leather sofas, serves up towering
views of the ski mountain and surrounding peaks. And the Brown Hound
offers up a bountifully stocked bar and its signature Indini cocktail
inspired by hotel mascot Indy, the chocolate labrador for whom
the lounge is named.
Depending on which member of the Tivoli-founding
Lazier family you ask, Indy is named for either the silver screens
Indiana Jones or the Indianapolis 500, the legendary auto race won by
Bob and Dianes oldest son, Buddy, in 1996. Both Buddy and younger
brother Jacques still race in the Indy Car series.
There is no question, however, about who the Indini is named for: the
hotel hound, Indy. Rarely in the annals of barnyard lore has a brown
hound met a grey goose with such happy results. Yet goose and hound
have fused seamlessly in the creation of the new Indini cocktail.
Grey Goose vodka figures prominently in this richly delicious, sinfully
chocolaty masterwork crafted by the Tivolis dedicated staff after
hours of intensive research. We proudly invite guests to start a new
Vail tradition by stopping into the Brown Hound and sampling the enticing
new Indini. We dont recommend trying this at home, but if you
just cant wait till your next Vail visit, heres the official
Indini recipe, or if you prefer, recipini:
